National Testing Program

AMADA delivers testing programme, which is smart, risk-based, intelligenceled and responsive. AMADA conducts a comprehensive in- and out-of-competition testing program to detect prohibited substances and methods taking into consideration scientific advancements, social research, sporting calendar, sports specific physiological requirements, detection windows etc.

Risk Assessment

Risk assessment increases the effectiveness of testing programmes through targeting the right athletes at the right time, determines where resources should be allocated to sand increases the chances of detecting doping.

Test Distribution Plan

AMADA plans and carries out effective,intelligence based and proportionatedistribution of tests by establishing TestDistribution Plan (TDP) based on riskassessment and prioritisation.

TDP prioritises appropriately betweensports, disciplines, categories of athletes,types of testing, types of samples collectedand types of sample analysis.

National anti-doping policy prioritiseOlympic sports, certain sports over othersdue to a greater risk of doping in thosesports and greater national interest sports.

In-Competition

In-competition testing is conducted during asporting event. Every sporting event whichfalls within the jurisdiction of the AzerbaijanNational Anti-Doping Policy may be subjectto testing.

In-Competition is the period commencingtwelve hours before a Competition,in which the Athlete is scheduled toparticipate through the end of suchCompetition and the Sample collectionprocess related to such Competition.

AMADA collects both urine and bloodsamples as part of its program.

Out-of-Competition

Out-of-Competition testing programmanaged by AMADA is vital to ensure a levelplaying field. Whereabouts information isan important tool to locate athletes at anytime and to conduct tests on a no advancenotice basis, which is a key element of aneffective anti-doping program.
